GSIR accepted 17 participants from 8 ASEAN countries (Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam) to the EPP in 2009.
EPP Participants' academic backgrounds and age at the time of enrollment varied widely. More than half of them were female.
